Live in the moment
Updated: Sep 9, 2019
Time flies...
That makes me sound like an old lady, I get that. I’m only 17 years old. What do I even know about time flying by?
Well, I know that in kindergarten I counted down 8 years until my 8th grade graduation, because then I was a ‘big kid’ and ready to go off to high school.
Today I went to my last ever first day of school.
Today I’m a senior.
This year I graduate.... not from the 8th grade. But from high school...
It’s crazy to me how fast it went by looking back at it. Don’t get me wrong, in the moment the days seemed to drag on and on and on and on and ooooooonnnn, but here I am, wondering where they went.
I took so much for granted. There is so much I wish I would’ve just lived for, I’ve always been so focused on the future, that at times I forgot to live in the now.
Well, this year I’m changing that.
During senior year, there is more pressure than ever to figure out what the next step is, but I’m leaving the next step up to God and I’m going to do the best I can day by day.
God puts you in every season of your life for a reason, so live it up RIGHT NOW, don’t wait. Someday you’ll wake up and realize all of the stress was crazy, because God’s going to put you right where you need to be.
*God has already put you right where you need to be, right now.
A lot has changed in this past year of my life, and now I’m bringing that change back with me to my school.
Don‘t get me wrong, I’m the same me as always, just a little bit more bold.
Pray for me to have strength & great conversations this year, good, gospel conversations. Pray that God becomes a bigger part in the students & teachers lives at my school this year.
And I will pray for everyone reading this. Pray that you will live in the moment, in right now.
