Faith of a mustard seed

I made this necklace with some girls at my church a while back, and I’ve worn it nearly every day sense.

MATTHEW 17:20

“if you have faith even as small as a mustard seed, you could say to this mountain ‘move from here to there’ and it will move. Nothing would be impossible.”

The little dots that are hard to see in that jar, those are mustard seeds. God says if only our faith was the size of that....

something so small.... God says is so much greater than our faith.

Often times that’s where we end with that scripture. We think about how much more faith we need to have. But I don’t think we should stop at the point of a seed.

have you ever seen what the small seed becomes when it is planted?

when it is buried under a firm foundation, and watered, have you seen the way it grows?

This is a mustard tree

To have mustard seed faith, also means to have faith that grows into something bigger.

faith that doesn’t stop at being planted, but sprouts up.

faith that when chopped down, comes back, & when returned is stronger for it.

faith that has deep roots in Gods word, & has the water of God flowing through its veins, will grow into something more.
